Rib & Cable Cowl

With this cowl, I figured it was high time for something simple that sat close to the neck, but still had a striking design. Hence the rib & cable cowl was born. And yeah, that's about it...

Yarn: Universal Yarn Classic Shades Sequins Lite (74% Acrylic, 22% Wool, 4% Payette; 264 yards [240 meters]/100 grams); #402 Diamond Mine – one skein

Needles: 24" circular needle in size 7, cable needle (cn) or double pointed needle for cabling

Notions: Tapestry needle

Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette on size 7 needles

Cast on 135 stitches loosely, place marker, and join in round. And now it's time to begin the pattern, which goes as follows:

Row 1 & 3: * k4, p5; rep from *

Row 2: * k4, yo, p2tog, p1, p2tog, yo *

Row 4: * slip two stitches to cable needle and hold in front, knit two, knit two from cable needle, yo, p2tog, p1, p2tog, yo *

Knit in pattern until piece measures roughly 8", or desired length is reached, and you've just finished row 1 of the pattern. Bind off loosely, knitting the knit stitches and purling the purls. Tuck in ends.

Lazy Daisy dress-up kit

We love the daisy stitch, and have finally knitted up the Lazy Daisy cradigan in our own yarn. We added a feminin baby-turban to complete the cardigan. Pretty neat?

Sizes
3-6 m (1 y) 2 y
3-6 m free below. The other sizes can be bought in the shop.

Yarn
Pickles Cashmerino or Pickles Extra Fine Merino, main colour, 100 (150) 200 g
2 pattern colours, 50 g of each

Needles
Long circular needles and DP needles, US 5

Gauge
20 s= 4”

Chest measurements
Ca 9.8 (12.2) 12.6 cm

The jacket is knitted back and forth and has next to none assembly;)

The body piece
Cast on 97 stitches in the main colour, using circular needles.
Knit 8 rows.

Row 1
Change colours. Knit.

Row 2
Knit a daisy like this:
Purl the 3 first stitches on the left needles together. DON´T slip the stitches of the needles. Yarn over, and purl the same 3 stitches together once more. You will now have 3 new stitches. Slip them of the needle.

*K1, K1Daisy (as above)*.
Repeat from * to * until 1 stitch remain. K1.

Row 3
Change colours. Knit.

Row 4
You will now move the daisies a bit. Knit like this:
K3. *K1, K1Daisy (as above)*.
Repeat from * to * until 2 stitches remain. K2.

Repeat these 4 rows until you have 20 stripes with daisies.

Seperate the work into front and back pieces. Use the main colour and knit like this:
K 21, cast off 4, K 47, cast off 4, K 21.
Put the work aside.

Sleeves
Cast on 28 stitches on DP needles US 5.
Knit back and forth.
Increase 1 stitch in each side every 1.2” 4 times in total = 36 stitches. Cast off 2 stitches in each side when the sleeve is about 6.7”. Put the work aside. Knit another sleeve.

Joining the pieces
Put the sleeves and the body piece on to the same needles like this:
Knit the first front piece, while decreaseing 3 stitches evenly.
Knit the first sleeve (make sure it´s from the right side!)
Knit the back piece while decreaseing 6 stitches evenly.
Knit the other sleeve.
Knit the other front piece, while decreaseing 3 stitches evenly.
Continue to knit back and forth. K1 row.

Raglan decrease
On every row from the right side, you´ll decrease like this:
Knit until 2 stitches remain on the front piece, SSK, K2tog.
Knit until 2 stitches remain on the first sleeve SSK, K2tog.
Knit untilk 2 stitches remain on the back piece, SSK, K2tog.
Knit until 2 stitches remain on the other sleeve SSK, K2tog.
Place markers to make it easier;)

Decrease like this 14 times in total. The last time you´re decreasing, you´ll also knit the first 2 and the last 2 stitches on the row together.

Front bands
Pick up 42 stitches along each side of the jacket using the same circular needles you still have stitches on.
You will knit the front bands and the neckline in one.
You should assemble the jacket as far as you can before starting out on this.
Knit 4 rows back and forth.
On the 5th row, you´ll make button holes on one side.

Knit like this:
*K 3, K2tog, YO*.
Repeat from * to * until you have 5 button holes.
When you have knitted 7 rows in total, you´ll cast off all stitches along the front band until the daisies end. Knit around the neck line, and cast off the all stitches from the daisies starts again.
Cut the yarn.

Continue knitting the collar.
Cast off 2 stitches on the beginning of every row 5 times on each side.
Cast off loosely.

TURBAN
Cast on 60 stitches on small circular needles.
US 5. Knit in the round.
K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round
K 7 rounds
P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round
K 7 rounds
P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round

On the next round, make the small turban knot like this:
K 30. Wind the yarn tightly around the work (all of what you´ve knitted so far) between the left and the right needle. Wind it about 10 times to make a knot.
K 30.
K 1 round, and when you reach the stitch before you made the knot, K2tog. Tighten the yarn.
K 4 rounds.
P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round

Decrease
K 5 rounds. Decrease 12 stitches evenly on the last round.
K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round
K 6 rounds. Decrease 12 stitches evenly on the last round.
K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round
K 6 rounds. Decrease 12 stitches evenly on the last round.

Finish
Use a needle and put it through the remaining stitches. Assemble.

Lazy Daisy Baby Jacket

This baby jacket suits a newborn baby. It's knitted just using the garter stitch – and some daisy stitches. The daisy stitches are really lovely, and really not that hard as long as you get your head around them. Well worth a try!

Collar up or down – nice both ways.

What you need
We used 100% wool yarn requiring a 3 mm needle.
You need one 50 g ball for the main colour, but you can use scrap yarn for the stripes.
Long circular needle 4 mm (The daises are better to knit on slightly larger needles than the yarn says.)
4 buttons
Needle for assembly

How we did it
The whole thing is knitted back and forth.

The body piece
Cast on 97 stitches. Knit 8 rows.

Here comes the daisies, pay attention;)

Change colour and knit one row.
K1, purl 3 stitches in the next three stitches.
This is how you purl three in three:

Put the needle into the next three stitches as if you would purl three together.

Wrap the yarn around the needle as you do when knitting a purl.

Pull the yarn back up through the three stitches. DON´T pull the stitches off the left needle.

Now, wrap your yarn all the way around the needle.

Make sure the yarn is wrapped all the way around. It´s supposed to be in front of the needle as you put it back into the three stitches as you did to start with.

Wrap the yarn around and pull it back up.

You now have three stitches on your right needle.

Lift the stitches off the needle. Make sure they´re in the same order as you knitted them in, the Yo in the middle.

*K1, purl three in three* Repeat from * to* the entire row. Finish with a knit stitch.

Change colour. Knit one row.
Knit another row with daisies. This time around, however, you´ll knit the daisies between the row of daisies you already have. Therefore you start by knitting 3.
*Purl three in three, K1* Repeat from * to * until you have three stitches left on the needle, knit these.

Continue knitting the daisies, starting with one knit stitch and three knit stitches every second time as above. We knitted 20 rows of daisies (40 rows including the rows of knitting in between).

Cast off for the arms. Use the main colour and knit like this:
K 20, cast off 6 stitches, K 45, cast off 6 stitches, K 20.
Let the body piece rest until you´ve knitted the arms.

Arms
Cast on 28 stitches.

Knit back and forth until the arm measures 15 cm.
Increase one stitch in each side every 3 cm, four times in total = 36 stitches.
When the arm is 15 cm long, cast off 4 stitches in each side and make another arm just like it.

Now it´s time to put the arms onto the body piece needles. Use the main colour. Do it like this:
Knit the first front piece, WHILE you´re decreasing 3 stitches along the distance.
Knit the first arm where the whole for the arm is (Make sure that you knit it on the right way, meaning that you start knitting where you naturally would if you were to continue the arm.).
Knit the back piece, WHILE you´re decreasing 6 stitches along the distance.
Knit the other arm.
Knit the second front piece, WHILE you´re decreasing 3 stitches along the distance.

Knit one row.

It's time to start the raglan decrease. This means that you knit together the two first stitches before and after each arm, and also the two first and last stitches on the arms.
To be exact:
Knit the first front piece until two stitches remain. Knit these together. Knit the first two stitches on the first arm together. Knit the arm until two stitches remain, knit these together. Knit the first stitches on the back piece together. Knit the back piece until two stitches remain. Knit these together. Knit the first two stitches on the second arm together. Knit the two last stitches on the arm together. And finally knit the first two stitches on the second front piece together.

Decrease like this every second row 14 times in total. The last time you decrease the two first and the two last stitches on the row as well. You still have some stitches left on the needles.
Assemble the loose ends on the body piece before you start the front bands/collar.

Front band /collar
Using the same circular needle as you still have stitches left on, pick up 36 stitches on along the side of the front piece. Repeat on the other side. You´ll now knit the front bands and collar in one.

Knit 4 rows.
On the fifth you make button wholes. We made four of these on the right side of the jacket. Don´t make wholes more than a cm or so above the daisies. You make one button whole by knitting two stitches together, and then you out your yarn over the needle, making an extra stitch for the next row.

Knit until you have seven rows in total. Cast off LOOSELY along the side until there´s no more daisies, knit until the daisies start again, and cast the rest of the stitches off LOOSELY.
Cut the yarn.

Start knitting the collar, 4 rows in total.

1st and 2nd row: Decrease one stitch on the beginning and the end og the rows.
3rd and 4th row: Decrease two stitches at the beginning and the end of the rows.

Cast off LOOSELY.
Assemble the arms and armpits.

The perfect gift for a newborn baby;) We didn´t have one, and ended up with a lion as a model.

Some time ago i bought this book as a hardcopy and the author of the book is the one from whom i bought it, since it took me a while to get the book, she sent me another copy of the book.

So, here i am selling this book to send her the money back. It is a very good book, type of this book you cannot find in the US as far as i know (i have searched a lot) and you cannot find this in bangladesh either because sewing is taught by face to face class and none saves notes or wrote a book on this topic thus far. Those classes notes are the BEST, even better than this book because of the simplicity.

In any case, if you wish to make indian dresses or deshi dresses or any dresses for men, women, and kids, then this is a book you should buy and treasure it.

excellent doilies & table met + with charts

Twine Rug # 4 - Full Tutorial

Hello, today I will explain step by step this beautiful rug.

It consists of two octagons with flowers two  triangles and these four parts are sewn with needle and finally upholstery nozzle is made that gives the tailpiece.

How is work done with assembled parts I thought it best to explain it in pieces, and will do in the following sequence: a flower, the octagon, the triangle, the seams and nozzle.

Materials used : 1 cone of string with 1kg in Royal blue wire 8; 1 skein of Baroque in blue, crochet hook No 3.5mm or 4mm and tapestry needle.

Abbreviations : little chain stitch (ch), high point (pa), dual high point (pad), high triple point (pat), slip stitch (sl st).

Flower

Important Note : The ch 3 we do to rise to the turns, equivalent to 1 tr.

We started with 4 race in baroque string and closed with 1 sl st.

1st Season : Ch 3 to rise and 15 pa within the initial race ring, totaling 16 pa now including 3 race we did to climb;

around 2nd : Ch 3 to climb and 2 dc in each dc of previous round, totaling 32 pa  now including 3 race we did to climb  ; arrematamos and exchange of string.

3rd lap :. with blue twine Royal climbed 6 ch, then we will do the sequence of 1PA and ch 3 by 16 times between each country we jumped 1 pa career base, close to 1pbx

4th lap : (1 sl st to go 1 point ahead climb ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) within the range of 1 ch 3 from previous row, then we will do for 7 times  ( 3 dc ch 3 3 dc )  interspersed among ch 3 and jumping 1 range of little chains Career basis, closing with 1 sl st.

5th lap : ditto the above, with only one difference between groups of points  ( 3 dc ch 3 3 dc )   . put 4 race

around 6th : 3 sl st to reach the interval 3corr. At intervals of 3 race of the highlights we will 1PA and 1corr by 8 times, between each group put 4 corr.

Description of points - Definition of petals

For this we use around the baroque.

* We will 3PA in each interval of 1corr previous career total 21pa then 2pad picking up the corr intervals of 4 previous careers, repeat the sequence from the asterisk until we find the first point, we close with a sl st and arrematamos Baroque.



Description of points - Octagon

1st Season : ninth pa a Petals tie blue twine Royal and build from it 5pb, 5corr, 1pat (which will be placed between the 2pad from previous row), 5corr, we will make this sequence until we find the first point, close to 1pbx.

Back 2nd : 3corr pair rise, 1PA in the second sc on round base, 2pa together in the third dc on round base, 1PA for each next dc, 5PA in the first inetervalo of 5corr, 1PA about pat and more 5PA in the second interval 5corr, make this sequence until you find the first point and close with 1pbx.

3rd lap : 3corr to climb, 1PA pa for each career-based, except for the pa were doubled in the past working in them will do 2pa for each, all around the back and close with a sl st.

The Octagon is ready, now we will fabricate the triangle.

Triangle

Description of points - Triangle

Home: 4corr closed with a sl st.

1st round : (all pa 4corr worked inside the ring), 4corr to climb, 2pa, 1corr, 2pa, 3corr, 2pa, 1corr, 2pa, 1corr and 1PA.

Back 2nd : 4corr to climb, 2pa the first interval 1corr Career basis (1PA, 2corr, 1PA) in the second interval ch 1, (3PA, 3corr, 3PA) in the range of 3corr,  (1PA, 2corr, 1PA ) in the third period of ch 1, ( 2pa, 1corr and 1PA) in the fourth interval 1corr.

3rd lap : 4corr to climb, 3PA in the first interval 1corr Career basis 4PA in the range of 2corr (4PA, 3corr, 4PA) within 3corr,  4PA in the range of 2corr (3PA, 1corr and 1PA) in last interval 1corr.

4th lap : 2PB for each point of the base of the triangle, 1bp for each point of the side of the triangle and within the triangle tip 3corr do: 2PB, 3corr, 2PB.

Installation of replacement carpet

After the finished pieces first put the two octagons as shown in the diagram above with tapestry needle and join the two pieces, then put each of the triangles and also sew.

Beak

Description of points - Beak

Beginning: in any of the points on the body of the rug tie the twine.

1st row : 3 tr to climb, 1 dc in each career point base.

2nd row : 1 sl st, 3 tr to climb, and two 6 pa corr, then do the entire contour repeating the sequence of 7 dc and ch 2.

3rd row : 1 sl st, ch 3 to climb, 4 tr, then do the entire contour repeating the sequence ch 1, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc, ch 1, 5 dc.

4th row : 1 sl st to climb, ch 3, 2 dc,   then do the entire contour repeating the sequence  ch 1, 4 dc, ch 1, 3 dc.

5th row : 1 sl st,   then do the entire contour repeating the sequence  ch 1, 4 dc in each dc peak 1, ch 1. End.

Is a tip

If you want to make crosswalks is only mend octagons more and more triangles as you want, depending on the desired length.

Carpet of string # 3 - Full Tutorial

Hello, today I will teach how to make this rug, it is easy to level because it is made without any amendment has seventeen rows being the first twelve forming the design of the center and the last five Nipple carpet as usual pass the description of points, the graph and also will post videos.

Materials Used : 1 cone of string with 1kg and wire order 6 in raw color (material to make a couple of rugs), and paragraph 3.5 mm needle.

Mat string n ° 2 - Full Tutorial

With description, graphic and video .

Hello, I will show you the recipe of this carpet, it contains no seams and is composed of 19 rows that are distributed as follows: drawstring top 17 careers that build the design center and 1 round nozzle.

Lecture # 3 - Flower 1

Hello,

Today I will teach you how do you make this flower.

After several attempts, after many "and makes cutting and do it again" I managed to get the result of the photo above.

Was it worth all the work because I was very pleased with the final result!

I did step by step nine photos in this work and also in two videos, I'll post the first tutorial with photos and put the videos below.

At first sight it seems to be complicated to make, but when you look at the photos or watch the videos will see how easy it is to be taken.

Oh, in my next post I'll show an octagon that I created from this flower and giving to make a beautiful rug.

Carpet Twine No 1 - Full Tutorial

This rug I created from squares and triangles that were later sewn with needle Arraiolo do, the pieces were

sewn diagonally making the carpet stay oval to finish I put a nozzle that consists of five

turns and the results were spectacular, very cute!

In this work we used the following materials: a ball of twine in the Baroque with orange, a cone of string in brown

Clear wire No. 6, a cone of twine in dark brown color, also in wire  No. 6 crochet hook No 3.5 mm and a needle

blunt Arraiolo to weave carpets.

First I made eight equal squares this photo below:

In this photo I searched for a chart for easy viewing, but not out as I expected (doing and learning ...  blogger  means  inexperienced ... but I'll still get ace it, you'll see!), because to do this kind of graph it must be photographed and placed back around the graph also back around, but I'll try to explain better for you to understand.

Square:

Home : Six little chains that are closed with a slip stitch to form a ringlet;

Second round : three little chains to climb + Above + a chain + two high points + three little chains, this sequence will be taken four times then it will be finished off with a slip stitch.

Third round : three high points for two high rise + points + a high point in the chain on the career low two little chains + + Above + three high points within three little chains Career low + three + three little chains highlights in the same interval of three little chains career low, this sequence will be taken four times and will be finished off with a slip stitch.

Fourth round : three little chains to climb high points + three + four high points in the range of two little chains Career low + high four points within three little chains Career low + two + four little chains highlights within the same interval of three Career little chains down again repeat this sequence four times and arremataremos with a slip stitch.

Fifth round : on lap let's make a low about every career low point, when we get the two little chains that saw the corners we put a low point + a chain + a low point inside the two little chains of career low, we this sequence until you complete all around and arremataremos with a slip stitch, so be ready our little square!

For this we need carpet fabricate six triangles.

Now I will show you is done with this triangle pictured below, in this photo I will not put the graph will only explain point by point.

Lecture # 1 - Learning Crochet -. Core

Crochet is the art of weaving beautiful pieces of bed sheets, towels, clothing and accessories.

No expensive machinery to develop this art, with just a thread and a crochet hook (which costs very cheap) and your own hands can do endless work is needed.

It is a very practical and versatile art because it can be taken almost everywhere and taking advantage of every spare moments, eg, in the waiting room of a

medical office.

For me it is a perfect therapy that calms me and makes me feel good.

For you it will now begin this art is quite the secret train each point, without bothering to weave parts complete, not discouraged, because if you persevere in

train at least an hour a day I guarantee that in two months maximum will be ace in the field of points and now able to run many plays.

I say that for every point your training should be at least three days.

First point - Point Correntina

Well, this is the little chain stitch, train hard and do not be discouraged, because the harder it is to get through these first days of learning, but if you struggle and win this stage that is not very long at most a fortnight, you can feel GREAT pleasure that is magnificent master this art.

According Point  - High Point

This point is used on a large scale, in the work of crochet is one of the most used.

Third Point  - High Point Double

The high double point is similar to the high point that we learned earlier, the difference consists in giving two loops on the line instead of one before moving the needle at the point of career low.  This point is higher because the two loops.

Presentation - Objectives of this Blog

Hello!

This blog was created with the intention of teaching the art of crochet easy and clear way for all people, even those who have never picked up a needle able to learn.



Crochet for me is much more than a livelihood, it is a great therapy for me, because it calms me in the middle of the "storms" of life, brings me serenity at times  difficult.

And that is why I want to help people who are interested in learning this amazing art, because it is really wonderful and shows us how we can create beautiful pieces with just a needle, thread and our hands.



The principle'll teach crochet from the first steps, such as the type of thread and needle that should be used by those who are now starting this very versatile art.



From the lessons of the basic points we will carpet making easy level and follow to the most complex, after pass to sew table runners, tablecloths involving fabric and crochet, curtains, covers for gallon of water covers for canister gas, ipad blender, nozzles dishcloth where also learn fabric painting, c olchas and blankets for beds and bed, nozzles for bath towels, toilet games, bags, clothes in Irish crochet and etc. ..
